The Arizona Legislature is imposing statewide budget cuts that are having a devastating impact on crucial services for children and adults with disabilities. Without a doubt, these proposed cuts have caused and will continue to cause irreparable harm to this most vulnerable population. The future of our children and grandchildren and friends will be impacted. Our elected officials are seriously considering even deeper cuts for 2009 and 2010.So…if you also like to dream for people with disabilities, we are asking for your involvement. We are asking you to invest in the future of the children and adults in our community. We all need to be the voice and support for the children and adults who cannot speak for themselves.
If not us…who? If not now…when?Let’s start a movement that actually requires movement.
Action needs to be taken now. Not tomorrow, or next week, but TODAY. I recognize that this is an extraordinary request, but these are extraordinary circumstances.
